Pepsi Collaboration Part 2
As mentioned In Part 1 of this Pepsi Collab capsule, we truly appreciate organizations which are willing to take an active part in make up of today’s culture. What was an exclusive release for Art Basel 2015 in Miami, showed the connectedness of brands on two different ends of the spectrum coming together in unity through the form of fashion. Inspired from a time of history which will forever be iconic in its array of moods and colors, we have created a selective few garment creations to commemorate the epochal 50’s era. This capsule shed light through the Americana foundation that Pepsi has cultivated for decades, and you will see our appreciation for this through our use of red, white and blue.
Special thanks to Gaston McGary who helped coordinate the Pepsi x Profound Aesthetic collaboration, from design to sales to fulfillment. The Dec. 3rd 2015 Art Basel Miami blowout was assisted by the likes of the next generation of artist and creators – PartyNextDoor was in attendance while Sonny Digital, Amir Obe and Metro Boomin took over the stage. As these artists were highlighted, so was the essence of the idea behind this capsule: unity amongst brands – a new dimension which has awakened into fashion.
Each one of these unique pieces showcased that brand unity through bold labels, and the signature Profound Aesthetic use of embroidered patches. Ranging from the Pepsi-Cola logo, to the flag of the United States, entwining Americana and this late 19th century drink. Some of our main featured items included the Jacket seen on Mac Miller in part 1 of the Capsule – the Classic Cap in White, and the Satin Stadium Jacket in Red. Amongst the many highlights of this project, we were fortunate enough to team up with the brilliant Pharrell Williams. Special thanks to all the artists and individuals that took part in this project.
